Music that rocks the boat : Redwood Cultural Work / produced by Penny Rosenwasser.

Documentary about a for-profit independent record labels with sales over 1.5 million which became a non-profit cultural organization. The program looks at Redwood's relationship to lesbian-feminist politics, its 17 years as a small, politically progressive label, and its battles with the State Department and the INS to bring revolutionary artists into the United States.

Ku'umeaaloha is a Native Hawaiian and a spiritual teacher. She discusses the history and problems of indigenous Hawaiians: their deep connection to the land, the difficulty of maintaining this connection, and the lessons she has learned from the children. She argues that her people must remove the years of conditioning so that people will return to the Earth Mother and Sky Father.
