Feminist forum : the Equal Rights Amendment / Carol Burris.

Carol Burris, National Organization for Women (NOW) and a coordinator of the Equal Rights Amendment, talks about the proposed Amendment. Burris discusses the fact that the 5th and 14th Amendments have not prevented discrimination against women in the areas of divorce, alimony and child support laws, labor laws, and military service regulations.

L'histoire du soldat (Episode 6 of 33)

The second part of an evening devoted to performance of works by Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) held at WBAI's Free Music Store on December 18, 1971. This part contains a performance of Stravinsky's theatrical work L'Histoire du Soldat (The Soldier's Tale) (1918). Cast includes Tim Jerome, narrator; Arthur Miller, a soldier; and Pat Shea, the Devil.

The first part of an evening devoted to performance of works by Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) held at WBAI's Free Music Store on December 18, 1971 (cf. PRA# BC0709.06 for part two). WBAI'S Barbara Oka opens the evening and introduces Eric Salzman, who delivers some historical background about Stravinsky.

Roland Hanna, piano, performs a jazz set with Clarence "Scoby" Stroman, drums, and Ron Carter, bass, at WBAI's Free Music Store on March 7, 1972. WBAI's Barbara Oka introduces the program. This program was recorded in stereo by David Rapkin and produced by the Music Department of WBAI. This recording was formerly cataloged as BC0709.20.

Jazz guitar / Jim Hall trio (Episode 21 of 33)

The second half of WBAI's Free Music Store concert from December 17, 1971 devoted to guitars (the first half featured classical guitarist Bill Matthews - see BC0709.16). This half features jazz guitarist Jim Hall performing with Benny Aronov, piano, and Ron Carter, bass.
