GUEST: Larry Birns, dir. of the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, a research group on Latin American and Caribbean Affairs. (19 Minutes) Chris Hani and the Truth Commission South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission has taken up the case of Cris Hani, the leader of the South African Communist Party, assassinated back in 1993. The convicted killers - Clive Derby Lewis and Janusz Walus --have applied to the Commission for amnesty. GUEST: George Bizos, human rights lawyer in South Africa who is representing the family of Chris Hani. GUEST: Jeremy Cronin, the deputy general secretary of the South African Communist Party.
