Actuality from renewed protest of students against new campus rules at University of California, Berkeley's Sproul Hall on October 1, 1964. Precursor to the Car Top Rally. The recording features students discussing sit-in strategies, singing protest songs and chants. It includes discussion among Arleigh Williams(Dean of Men), Mario Savio, Turner, Nate Coleman, Michael Rossman, Jim Picket, and others, about the student occupation of Sproul Hall and their demands. Professor Nathan Glazer (Sociology) discusses faculty actions and opinions related to the demonstration and FSM demands. Demonstrator vote on course of sit-in. The student agreement to leave Sproul Hall so that the sociology faculty can negotiate with the school administration.
