Report and actuality of the Black Community Survival Conference held by the Black Panthers at the Oakland Auditorium, aimed at raising the consciousness of Blacks to their social condition in America. Includes speeches by Bobby Seale. The title of the recording arose from the promise the Black Panthers gave to give away a bag of groceries, including a whole chicken, to 10,000 conference attendees.

Box cover says, "Return to Yolande De Freitas or Mitch Green," and "Ride Levels Ride Levels Ride Levels."
Recording dubbed over by a different program from 00:04:29-00:08:55 and again from 00:21:44-00:42:40. It is the CBS series "Escape," third episode, "The diamond as big as the Ritz" by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
