Description:
The small suburb of Isla Vista that borders the University of California, Santa Barbara was the site of a significant anti-Vietnam War protest in early 1970. This is a description of the Santa Barbara demonstration as seen by Michel Barton, who was in Isla Vista where the Bank of America branch was burned. Mr. Barton addresses to a thousand persons gathered in Berkeley's Provo Park on Friday evening, March 6th, 1970, organized by the Santa Barbara Support Committee. Drums are played by The Moving Company, a radical street commune in Berkeley.
