INTRO: The program you are about to hear, entitled. "The Senator", was the first of one-hour documentaries on Robert Kennedy broadcast by the Canadian Broadcastng Corporation in January of 1967. The program was written and prepared by Eleanor Fisher, who travelled across the country with Senator Kennedy in the Fall of 1967 when Kennedy devoted several weeks to campaigning on behalf of Democratic candidates for stat and national office. Teh program, sub-titled "The Man and the Charisma", deals with Kennedy as a private and political figure from the time of his brother's death eill the winter of 1967. - RECORDED: CBS, Jan. 1967.
