Stemming from the land-holding class, it deals with the interaction of the gentry with the peasantry. The leading exponents of this genre were women. Commentary by Professors Robert Tracy and Joan Trodden Keefe. "Some Experiences of an Irish R.M." written by two eccentric ladies, Somerville and Ross, read by Gail Chugg. "comic!"
