Breakfast in Miami / Reinhard Lettau.

Satirical radio drama about six deposed dictators who have come to live in Miami, Florida. They gather for a series of breakfasts at the airport hotel to reminisce and discuss their experiences as former heads of state. They delve into such topics as: kidnappers, popularity, dealing with obstrepherous ministers, and major vs. minor enemies.

A surreal radio drama which has elements much like Franz Kafka's The Trial. A young man is interrogated by five questioners and a chief interrogator, but the audience is never sure what the questioners are trying to find out, if the questioned knows anything. It is "a question and answer game about the process of question and answer," says Handke.|THE TRIBUNE / Mauricio Kagel.

The Good God of Manhattan / Ingeborg Bachmann.

A character in the play, Good God of Manhattan, is on trial for plotting the murder of two lovers. Jan and Jennifer, and for having killed Jennifer in a bomb attack on their love-nest. During the trial the story unfolds, through flashbacks, that love has no place in the social order. The meeting of Jan and Jennifer at first appears banal, but their love intensifies and becomes all-consuming.

The Outsider / Wolfgang Borchert.

The first radio play produced in Germany after World War II. The drama traces the return of a German soldier, Sergeant Beckmann, captured at Stalingrad and released from a Siberian concentration camp at the war's conclusion. Through a series of encounters with his former wife, his officer, and a cabaret director, Beckmann finds he has no place left in the world.

The Third kingdom / Suzan-Lori Parks.

Radio adaptation from Parks' Obie Award winning play, Imperceptible Mutabilities of the Third Kingdom. The drama is set between the costs of Africa and America in the Third Kingdom, a watery realm of racial injustice left over from the flood of Noah.

Cousins / E. M. Broner.

Drama about the intimate relationship between two cousins, a girl and a boy, who grew up together loving and teasing each other--but who cannot marry. The woman matures and becomes a wife and mother. The man, however, can never reconcile himself to a life apart from his childhood companion.

Hildegard and I / Faith Wilding.

A created dialogue between Hildegard von Bingen and Faith Wilding. Hildegard von Bingen grew up in a German convent in the 12th century. As a philosopher-theologian, herbalist, composer and writer, she became an Abbess and a counselor to Bishops and Kings. Her writings would now be considered ecologially-minded, and she argues for a view of the world in terms of interconnectedness.

Artist descending a staircase / Tom Stoppard. (Episode 2)

Drama about three old artists who have been friends since their youth, and share an attic. The drama opens following the death of one of the group, a death with mysterious circumstances. The drama addresses issues about truth, and about what you can understand and gain from sound as a source of information.

Redevelopment / Vaclav Havel.

Satirical drama about totalitarian bureacracy and the whimes of architects. Based in a medieval castle, a group of architects are planing the redevelopment of the old town at its gates--without consulting or seeking approval of those who will be effected.
