Description:

Terence McKenna, author, explorer, and co-founder of Botanical Dimensions. He discusses his book, Food of the Gods, in which he examines the origin of human species assisted by psychedelics. The human family, he argues, is once again in need of consciousness expansion, and psychadelics are connected to the earth's energy's. McKenna reevaluates the Darwinian theory of evolution, pointing out that it does not account for the rapid transformation of human brain size, language development, memory and intellectual skills. He argues that the ingestion of psychedelics explains those developments, for it dissolved the go boundaries. The current world problems of dominance and patriarcy are traceable to the current rejection of psychedelics. McKenna calls for a reevaluation of drug use, in the same way that Freu and Jung forced changing views of human sexuality.|FOOD OF THE GODS / Terence McKenna| interviewed by Pam Burton. - SERIES: Philospher stone - Terence McKenna, author, explorer, and co-founder of Botanical Dimensions.
