Matthews performs Prelude no. 1 and selected Etudes by Heitor Villa-Lobos; Allemande, minuet and courante by Ernst Gottlieb Baron, three short pieces, one by Fernando Sor, For guitar no. 1 by Jim Hall and Romance of the pines by Federico Moreno Tórroba; variations, or differencias, on early popular Spanish songs Conde claros, La canción del Emperador and Guardame las vacas; Prelude, balletto and gigue by Manuel Ponce; Etude no. 11 by Villa-Lobos; and El noi de la mare.
