Clifford Durr, attorney and former FCC Commissioner, and Richard Sisouly, former Bureau Manager of the Federated Press, discuss the problems of radio broadcasting for the public's welfare and First Amendment considerations. They examine how the freewheeling chapabilities of FM broadcasting have given it the edge over AM frequencies, and the ease of FM tuning provides much more equal access to radio. They both suggest the advantages of FM broadcasting in areas of education and culture, but warn of the commercialization of FM stations. The conclude by examining the impact of censorship, both self imposed and FCC mandated, upon the political paramaters of the media.
