Fred Cody interviews Puerto Rican writer and member of the Nuyorican school of poets, Victor Hernandez Cruz, about his new poetry book <i>By Lingual Wholes</i>. Cruz and Cody discuss the history of attacking bilingual education or learning a second language in the United States whereas in Europe and other countries it is encouraged and normal. Cruz reads two poems on the air: "The Physics of Ochun" and "Borinquens in Hawaii".
