Letty Cottin Pogrebin wrote a guide for non-sexist child-rearing, "Growing up free...raising your child in the '80s." In this interview with Helene Rosenbluth, Pogrebin talks about the research she did to write the book and what she found: the traditional sex role stereotyping, the economics of that stereotyping, the cultural misogyny, the sexism of women, what institutional changes are needed, and for whom she wrote the book.
