This is the third in a five-part documentary series or "audiomosaic" as the producers call it, about the ghettos and race relations in Los Angeles. The series was produced by Leonard Brown and a team of volunteers. This episode centers on the family unit, teen pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, and other family-centered issues. None of the interviewees are identified. Interviewees include a man working in the health department, a man describing a intravenous drug use and how drug use affects babies, a Muslim discussing his religion, a man commenting on how slavery and religion affect the contemporary African American family unit, a Black high school girl and a White boy discussing their inter-racial relationship and the reactions of their friends, family, and communities. Note: tone decreases at end of recording during closing song.
