Introduction by Alan Ostel, Dean of the New School in New York City. At the time of the speech, Elsberg was out on bail and due in court. He is accused of stealing documents and has admitted he published the Pentagon Papers but is not guilty of stealing. Elsberg calls others to come forward, asserts that all citizens should read the Pentagon Papers. He states that the Vietnam War became Nixon's war based on the judgements made by some of the Ellsbergs former colleagues. Nixon announced he would not lose the war and Congress would not end US involvement in the war because he refused to lose. - - Circa 1973. Recorded late 1973.
