Description:
Howard Zinn, United States social historian and author of A People's History of the United States, speaks in honor of historian Harvey Goldberg. Goldberg, Zinn recounts, was passionately involved in the struggle for social justice, challenging the assumption that historian can not be passionate. Zinn goes on to speak of the power of money in the United States, how objectivity is not possible for historians, and that each historians personal experiences shapes their interpretation of the past. Zinn goes on to discuss his own anti-war activities, starting during World War II and continuing up through the 60's.
