Women artists : the discovery of Sofanisba Anquissoo, the first Renaissance woman painter / Ilya Sandra Perlingieri and Charlotte Streifer Rubenstein ; interviewed by Jude McGee.

Art historian Perlingieri and African Woman Artist Rubenstein discuss their book about Sofonisba Anquissola. Her works have traditionally been misattributed to Titian, Coello, and others. But, through 16 years of research, Perlingieri and Rubenstein have found that this Renaissance artist was in fact a student of Michaelangelo, worked in the court of Philip II, had a huge following, and was a producing artist until her death at 93.
