Michael Kennedy, one of the pre-trial attorneys in the Chicago Seven Conspiracy case, speaks about the background and implications of the Chicago Conspiracy trial at the University of Washington in December, 1969. He gives brief descriptions of the seven defendants, Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, and Lee Weiner, as well as an eighth, Bobby Seale, who was charged and then acquitted. The tape was loaned to KPFA by KTAO, KAY-DOW in Los Gatos, 95.3, a commercial station.
