Content on the series, given in introduction in this first episode: Judy Chicago and partner Miriam (Mimi) Schapiro host this first episode. Series is about what's been happening among women in the arts in the country. A nation-wide movement is in progress with women artists. Established a coalition of women artists, called West East Bag. Trying to implement plans to show more women artists in museums and to hire women faculty in art schools, because arts faculties nation-wide are almost all male. Enormous amount of women that is simply not being shown. Will also discuss poetry, with Faith Wilding, and literature, with Anais Nin.
Content on this first episode: Discuss what they found, when they went on a tour of women's studios in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Had no time to make a real outro, so they just say good-bye quickly.
