Barbara Garson, American playwright of the Shakespeare parody, <i>MacBird</i>, is interviewed by Toby Gole (Garson's agent during the production of the play in 1967). Garson talks about the inspiration for <i>MacBird</i>; it was originally written for a teach-in while Garson was a student at UC Berkeley and later expanded into a book and play. Garson has since been active as a labor, civil rights and free speech activist.
