Toward a Multicultural History GUEST: Dr. Ronald Takaki is a professor in the Ethnic Studies Dept. ar U.C. Berkeley. His pro-affirmative action counterproposal to Proposition 209 will be printed in the October 5 issue of "The Nation" in preparation for the Berkeley walk out protest scheduled for the 20th or 21st of October. He will speak at U.C. Berkeley on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7p.m. to commemorate thepublicatio of his newly released and re-released BOOK: A LARGER MEMORY: A HISTORY OF OUR DIVERSITY WITH VOICES and BOOK: STRANGERS FROM A DISTANT SHORE: A HISTORY OF ASIAN AMERICANS
