Description:
Discussion with Stokely Carmichael of the Civil Rights movement and the growing participation of Blacks in the political process. Carmichael is introduced as the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee coordinator working in Lowndes County, Alabama, "organizer of the Lowndes County Freedom Organization, also called The Black Panther Party." The interview is conducted by Terence Cannon, editor of "The Movement", the West Coast newspaper of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.
