Description:
Communist, feminist activist Elizabeth Gurley Flynn (1890-1964) is interviewed (by William Mandel?) about her life and her work. According to the October 1987 WBAI folio, this interview's (rebroadcast in 1962) transcripts were used in the SISS hearings charging that Pacifica was infiltrated by Communists.

Content: Joe Hill wrote "The rebel girl" for her in 1914. Flynn was 72 at the time of the interview. Born in Concorde, New Hampshire. Mother was a suffragist. Graduated high school in 1906. Had made a speech on women in socialism and became involved with the Industrial Workers of the World. Worked for the defense of Joe Hill, Clarence Darrow, Sacco and Vanzetti, and many others.
