From the Vault 236: Campus Campaign 2010 Highlights

On November 16th and 17th, 2010, the Pacifica Radio Archives celebrated “Campus Campaign: To the Libraries and Beyond,” a national broadcast in which listeners sponsored over a thousand schools and libraries with packages of historic audio recordings. This week on From The Vault we showcase the significance and variety of recordings used in the broadcast, including Malcolm X, Cherie Moraga, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Lena Horne, Odetta, Martin Luther King, Jr., and others.

From the Vault is presented through the Pacifica Radio Archives Preservation and Access Project, funded in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, past grants from the Grammy Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the American Archive funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, along with the generous support of Pacifica Radio Listeners.
