The quartet performs Quartettsatz in C minor, op. posth. by Franz Schubert; String quartet no. 2 by Charles Ives, preceded by explanatory remarks about and excerpts from the piece; String quartet no. 14 in D minor (Death and the Maiden), op. posth. by Franz Schubert; and String quartet in F major, movement i. by Maurice Ravel.
